Coyotes, the New Urban Carnivore
Acrylic on Wood, 12x12 inches (14x14 inches framed)
Coyotes quite enjoy their lives amongst people. With tasty pets to eat, a lack of preditors, and the dismantling of the trapping and hunting trade, coyotes have spread across every part of Canada but the most northern regions. Backyards contain enough brush to cover a mother and her young. Coyotes have gotten to know humans a lot faster than we have gotten to know our new neighbors. Here we see a coyote admiring local herbivores in Vancouver's famous vegetarian restaurant, the Naam.
