This past summer I visited Toronto for the first time in 5 years. The city changes so fast. My favorite costume shops and goth stores have disappeared, replaced by YYoga and Koodoo chain stores. It's like Vancouver gentrification has spread across the country, taking down culture like a swarm of killer bees.
This is the first of a few Toronto paintings I have lined up for the new year. It is interesting to see the variety of graffiti from one city to another. I will be expanding on the bicycles and landcapes too.
Happy New year!
